This month, the first 28 midwives employed by health centers in Addis Ababa and southern Sidama were trained in the See & Treat method. This has enabled these 28 midwives to protect women from cervical cancer. Prevention is critical in Ethiopia; there is only one hospital in the entire country to treat people with cancer (population in 2014: over 96 million).
